Santa Pola: Fishing Tradition and Nature

Description

Departure according to pick-up point (between 09:00 and 09:30 AM). Brief stop at the Santa Pola Lighthouse, from where you can see Tabarca Island. Continue to observe birds in the Natural Park of the Salinas, one of the few places in the peninsula where flamingos are resident all year round. (Participants must bring their own binoculars. Flamingo sightings depend on the season and weather conditions). Continue with a guided visit to the Castle-Fortress, built in 1557 to protect sailors and their families from pirate and corsair attacks; visit the historic center of Santa Pola. Return to Alicante. Arrival around 1:30 PM.
