Our Excursions

Corners of the Alicante Mountains: Castell de Guadalest, La Nucia and Polop de la Marina
We will start the route towards Castell de Guadalest, passing near Villajoyosa and Benidorm. Our first stop is in La Nucia; from its viewpoint, you can see the Sierra de Bernia, Mount Ponoch (popularly known as the Sleeping Lion), and the Callosa de Ensarriá countryside. Also, completing the scene, you will see Polop de La Marina, crowned by its Castle – Cemetery. We leave La Nucía and stop in Polop de La Marina; we will get to know this peculiar town with its famous Plaza de Los Chorros. As an essential highlight, we will visit the House-Museum of the famous writer Gabriel Miró (closed on weekends). We continue our route to Castell de Guadalest where we will enter its narrow streets with Arab reminiscences, climbing up to San José Castle (entrance not included) to enjoy the panoramic view of the reservoir and the Sierra de Bernia. Optionally, we will enjoy a typical lunch in one of the beautiful villages of the Alicante mountains (cost €45 per person). Return to Alicante.

Beaches and Coves: El Campello and Villajoyosa
Departure along the coast road towards the town of El Campello in the historic region of Huerta de Alicante. With its picturesque promenade bathed by the Mediterranean, the small port, and the archaeological remains known as “Baños de la Reina” (Queen's Baths). Located on a small peninsula at the foot of the Vigía Tower, these are undoubtedly some of the most important archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. These lands were separated from the coast by an earthquake on an unknown date, and in the 1930s they were artificially rejoined to the land. We will continue to the fishing town of Villajoyosa in the Marina Baja region, its capital, with its picturesque colorful houses. Return to Alicante.

Modernism in the Vinalopó Region
Departure from the point of origin towards NOVELDA, a Spanish municipality located in the interior of the province of Alicante, in the Medio Vinalopó region, known for its grape production and trade in spices and marble: Visit to Castillo de la Mola, located on a small hill 360m high and declared a Site of Cultural Interest since 1931. Next to it is the Sanctuary of St. Mary Magdalene, built from a design by Noveldan engineer José Sala Sala, with some inspiration from Antonio Gaudí's modernist style. Afterwards, a tour of the town center to see its Modernist Houses. The Modernist House-Museum of Novelda is an exquisite monument to creativity and artistic style from the early 20th century. This architectural gem, designed by architect Pedro Cerdán Martínez and built as the home of Antonia Navarro Mira, now serves as a cultural link connecting visitors with the rich history and modernist legacy of the region. OPTIONAL LUNCH IN RESTAURANT (€45 per person). For clients who do not opt for the optional meal, there will be free time until departure to explore its magnificent historic center and discover unique buildings such as the Casino de Novelda, built in the 19th century. In the afternoon, departure at 4:00 PM towards the point of origin.
